Q) Are there still loans available with little money down?
A) Absolutely. We have lenders with different programs including FHA, down payment assistance and other options for the first time home-buyer and seasoned veteran.
Q) Is homeowners insurance expensive?
A) There are variables to homeowners insurance cost. As an example, a home built in 2002 or newer with 1500 sf of living area in North Port will be $500-$600 per year. This cost will vary depending on if the home has a pool, age etc. Even with a pool, an average home will run about $1000 per year. Q) What can I buy a newer home for?
A) Price depends on area, but a new 3 bedroom, 2 bath 2 car garage home in North Port, Englewood or Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda is about $130,000 with many newer homes closer to $100,000. Watch our "Bargain of the Week" on the home page and check out the homes for 125k or less.
